Waiting on the snow

Not much going on today other than cold and wind. We're under a snow warning for during the night.. up to 14 inches of snow by morning. I guess the snow is going to go right into Wednesday too! Woo Hoo! I might get a chance to run my new snow blower! After a few years without snow days in school... or very few snow days, Mikey is already asking if I think he'll have school in the morning. LOL
The SuperBowl Rocked! I loved the Bud commercial with the baby trying to pull the wagon and the magic refridgerator was good. Oh and the baby Hummer was good as well. I have to say my favorite was from a network show though for Lost with Robert Palmers "Addicted to Love" changed to "Addicted to Lost"! It totally rocked!! As does the show. I can't wait for Wednesday!

Left over chilli for dinner, yum! Mikey wasn't into the chilli this time though so he's going to have some leftover homemade mac and cheese with a hotdog.

I'll talk at ya tomorrow if I'm not digging out of a blizzard! lol

Boo to Blogger

I created a cool icon to display up in the address bar in front of my http://mrsblahblahgobbledygook and Blogger doesn't allow .icon images to be uploaded. Boo to you Blogger!! Boo!! I want my own server space so bad now it isn't funny. UGH! I'm not going to do it though.... got one heck of a heating bill and I no money to toss on junk like server space when I have free Blogger. *sigh* oh well... in a few months maybe. After the heating season is over and we are past the bill shock of over $300.00 for heat and electric in one month. You know I could see prices like that if this wasn't a little mobile home.... Can you imagine what it would cost to heat a huge 4bdr house?? We are 2 brd, 1 bath, 980 sqft!! Tiny!! And we're buttoned up tight this year because of the higher heating bills. UGH! Oh and get this.... our supplier has tacked on a sur charge for "less than normal weather conditions". Meaning they are charging us because Mother Nature wasn't as cold as normal!! The public service commission said it's ok for them to charge that. I wish I could set my own prices like tha...t say when I go to buy a car or something. Or charge my boss (if I had one) for.... ohhh lets see... in bad snow storms for the extra stress that happens on the drive in everyday! Or go to him and say... "my heating bill went up so I'm going to give myself a raise" Yeah.... right! LOL only the big guys can do that. We have no choice but to agree with it or they yank our plugs!

Wow I was getting a bit off mychest there wasn't I? I feel better now :)

We're waiting for the SuperBowl to start. We already had Mikey's Taco dip and the chilli is in the crock pot cooking away. We also have a cheese ball, pepperoni and crackers for later during the game.

It's FRIDAY!!!

Let's try this again!
I so totally lost my original post *Sigh*

I'm on the big main family computer using Netscape. I haven't posted from here since I got my laptop for Christmas which has Internet Explorer on it. I like both browsers. Guess I need to bounce back and forth a little bit more so I can keep up on both and not feel so list on here when I'm on it. Just now I found myself looking for my red mouse button build into the keyboard on my laptop! AHHHHH It's not there!! LOL

So anyway...
I'm on this computer because I've been having hip problems the past few days. It could be the weather, but it could also be the kitchen chair I've been sitting in while I'm on my laptop. I thought I'd change seats today to see if it helps. So far so good. If it's just the kitchen chairs I'll bring Mikey's computer chair in the kitchen when I use my laptop. Easy fix! I'd prefer the big leather computer chair as the seat is longer (it comes to the back of my knees) but it's a bit low and made my hips hurt. I'm just falling apart.... it sucks to get old. Lastnight was a super bad evening. My hips and knees were just killing me. I went to get up on a kitchen chair to get the zippy bags off the top pantry shelf and I ended up with my one knee buckling under me on my way up, which left me squatting on the chair.... I was stuck! I couldn't get up, couldn't get down. There was nothing for me to grab a hold of to pull myself up with or to hold onto while I tried to turn around or anything. The chair was blocking the lower pantry doors so I couldn't get a handhold at my level. I almost panicked, but I managed to get turned around while squatting on the chair without falling off!! Holy! That so totally hurt. Mikey was like..."What can I do?" He's such a big help. Even after I was off the chair he himself tried to get up and get the zippy bags for me, but because of his CP and balance issues he was scared to try. BUT... he did try!! He managed to get the box down for me with a coat hanger.... he's a really cool dude! BTW he has an 84.5 average in school!! He lost less than 3 points total from last making period which is great because he had a really tough time with math this time around and dropped 10 points in his math average...he's still more than passing it though. We did have some homework issues this week, but that's been taken care of and he's agreed he needs to do some math here at home... I'll either find something on the internet or Sherm will make up some questions for him to practice on or both. I hope to find internet stuff for him as I think that would make it more fun for him.

Ok
::Moving on::
I forget a date in my Dates-N-Things
Today is February 3rd, 2006 National Go Red for Woman Day
"Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together and wipe out heart disease. Thanks to the participation of millions of people across the country, the color red and the red dress have become linked with the ability all women have to improve their heart health and live stronger, longer lives."
I'll be wearing my red fuzzy scarf today!
ok...Off to... what else... do some laundry! lol
I want to get a jump on the laundry around here before next week starts.

Happy Friday Everyone!

Thanks, Phil!!

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning! Woo Hoo! 6 more weeks of winter. Maybe I'll get to use my new snowblower!! We ran it once on New Years day just to see if I could run it. We had about 2 inches of slush and it was so soupy that the blower wouldn't throw it very far. It came out of the shoot and just fell to the ground because it was so soupy! LOL It runs...it's powerful, but it just sits there... all alone... sad looking. hehe :) I love my new snowblower and want sooooo bad to use it.

The sun is out... it's going to 50 today and I'm feeling so much better than I did yesterday.

::Just something I've been thinking of lately::
After watching a kid from Mikey's school walk with the crotch of his pants down at his knees and then seeing him again with pants on the normal way I had a moment of ... well... I'm not sure what you'd call it... a bright idea? a vision? it's something that should be followed through with for sure. You see, this kid walks so strangely to keep his pants from falling down that even when he has on normal pants he still walks err waddles around. Then I think about all the other people out there that walk the same way and there are quite a few of them! We have a whole generation of kids that have totally thrown off their whole bodies. We are going to have a huge need in 30-40 years for special physical therapists and orthopedic. I'm a little late to go to school for this, but if I had to choose now or recommend to anyone what field they should go into I'd place my money on physical therapy or some sort of orthopedic.
Ok... end of random thought... Next time your out at the mall take a look at how some of the teens walk now-a-days with their big baggy pants and tell me I'm not right.

Come on Friday... get here already would ya? Sheesh. My sister and I are picking Mikey up after school tomorrow and heading to the mall to get our nails filled. Hers for the first time, mine for the second. I really need mine cut back again too. They've really grown. Plus I'm having trouble typing again. Seems like I spend more time correcting typing mistakes than it takes to type what I want to say. That totally flips my wig because I make enough spelling errors that I don't need typing problems thrown in on the mix! lol
Maybe I should I include a disclaimer on all my posts...
"Not all spelling mistakes happen on their own.. some are pure boo boo's as a result of having finger nails that hit 3 keys at the same time" :P LOL

Gotta run to the bank!

Blah

Feeling quite ill this morning. I had a killer headache when I woke up. It almost felt like sinus, but now it's feeling more like migrane. I took some sinus stuff and on top of the migrane feeling I'm feeling sick to my stomache now. I want so bad to lay my head back in the recliner and take a nap. Not sure I should... sometimes naps make these kind of headaches worse for me.

Anyway... I found a really cool poll host. I can have up to 3 questions too. The results open in a new a window and it wasn't blocked by my popup blocker either. Check it out on the right.

Have a good day... I'm gonna rest for a little bit.
